Carlos R. Calderon, MA LPC-S, CART, CGT is a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Anger Resolution Therapist, Certified Grief Therapist,  EMDR therapist  and Director of Christian Life Counseling.

Mr. Calderon is a graduate of Houston Baptist University with a Masters in Psychology and is affiliated with AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors), Find Christian Counselors and Focus on The Family.  He has worked extensively with children, adults, families and marriages for 26 years including 22 years of private practice work.

Carlos believes in extending Christ's grace and compassion to others and creating a safe environment in order for God's healing to take place in people's lives. He is compassionate yet direct.  He believes clients are responsible for their choices, behaviors and feelings and will challenge them to make positive choices in order to achieve their full potential in Christ and make a positive impact on their family, church, community and the world.

His mission is to "Be an agent of Christ's healing, through his story, gifts and passion, to the hopeless, hurting and 'the weakest of the weak', so they may experience full restoration in Christ and share their blessings with others"

He considers himself eclectic in his approach to therapy utilizing, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, whichever paradigms and techniques will best meet the individual's, marriage's, or family's needs.  He specializes in helping clients understand the 'HOW' and 'WHAT' to their experiences and most importantly the 'WHY'.  Carlos believes, through his experience, that as people understand why they do what they do, think what they think and feel what they feel, they are able to make more informed and wiser choices in life and thus not get caught up in a cycle of unproductive, ineffective and self destructive life choices.  He is interested in seeing people be transformed rather than achieving superficial changes which may not last long.

Carlos has been happily married for 29 years and has 8 children. He has a heart for his family, adoption and the 'fatherless and hurting'. He enjoys spending time with The Lord, family and friends, vacationing, playing sports and exercising.
